What people say

Draft placeholder wording only. The four cards below are written examples, not real customer feedback. They stay marked as drafts until verified quotes are collected and approved for use.

What we actually turn up for.

Six things we get called about most, numbered below. If your problem is not on this list, message it anyway. We will tell you honestly whether it is ours or somebody else's job.

01

Blocked drains

Sinks, showers, floor wastes and the main line out to the street. Camera down it first so we are fixing the cause, not just clearing today's blockage.

02

Burst pipes and leaks

Water where water should not be. We isolate it, find where it is coming from, and tell you what has to be replaced versus what can be repaired.

03

Hot water

No hot water, not enough of it, or a unit leaking in the cupboard. Repair where a repair is sensible, replacement quoted plainly when it is not.

04

Toilets and cisterns

Running, rocking, weeping at the base or not flushing properly. Usually a part, occasionally the pan seal, sometimes the drain behind it.

05

Taps and mixers

Dripping tapware, low pressure, and mixers that have stopped mixing. Washers and cartridges carried on the van so most of it is done in one visit.

06

Gas fitting

Cooktops, heaters and gas hot water connections, plus leak testing when you can smell something and want it checked properly rather than guessed at.

The one that ruins a morning

Cold shower, Tuesday, seven in the morning.

Hot water units fail at the worst possible hour. Tell us the brand and roughly how old it is and we can usually say over the message whether it is a part or the whole unit.

What actually happens after you message.

Start to finish, in the six steps below.

Step one

You send a message

WhatsApp or a phone call, whichever you prefer. A plumber reads it, not a call centre script.

Step two

Photo triage

A photo of the problem and the meter or isolation valve tells us more than ten minutes on the phone. Often we can narrow it down before leaving.

Step three

An arrival window

A real window, and a message if it moves. You should not have to keep an entire day free to have a tap looked at.

Step four

Fixed price agreed on site

We look at it, explain what is wrong, and give you the price before starting. You say yes or no with the full picture in front of you.

Step five

The fix

Done in the one visit where the parts allow it. If something has to be ordered you get told that day, not next week.

Step six

Clean up

Old parts taken away, floor left dry, and a short note of what was replaced so the next person who looks at it knows what happened.

Our own promise, in our own words

If we cannot tell you the price before we start, we have not looked hard enough yet.

One plumber, start to finish

The person who reads your message is the person who turns up.

No surprise line items

The number agreed on site is the number on the invoice.

We say no when it is not ours

If it is a job for a different trade we will tell you that for free.

The ask: build the message, then send it yourself.

Tick what is going on, add a line if you want, and the WhatsApp draft below writes itself. Nothing is sent from this page. The button opens WhatsApp with the message ready and you press send.

Things people ask before booking.

How fast can you actually get here?

Do you charge to come out and look?

Are you licensed and insured?

How is the price worked out?

We look at the job on site, explain what is wrong and what fixing it involves, then give you a fixed price for that work before starting. If we find something underneath it once we open things up, we stop and talk to you first.

Can you do it in one visit?

Most common repairs, yes. The van carries the usual washers, cartridges, seals and fittings. Anything that needs a specific part ordered gets told to you the same day, with a date rather than a vague maybe.

What if it turns out not to be a plumbing job?

We will say so plainly and point you at the right trade. Being told the truth quickly is worth more to you than being sold a plumbing repair that will not fix it.

The patch.

Where we work.
